 Great for developing gross and fine motor skills, and creativity

This is an exceptional toy, that combines the gross motor skill training of block, the fine motor skills training of fitting pieces together in the correct manner, and the creativity of learning how to use different pieces to make unique creations.
It's solid wood, good quality, and well-packaged. The vehicles are made in the USA, although the wood is German beech wood.
The price is a bit high, but this isn't a "mass market" toy, this is a toy that seems like it could be passed down to your kid's children. Obviously, you can tell I was very happy with the toy.

Wooden Toys...Hardly Old-Fashioned

You don't have to be middle-aged (and male) to appreciate a nice sports car. And you don't have to be all grown up to appreciate a beautifully-crafted wooden toy. This sportster is just one of many modern Automoblox car model do-it-yourself kits, including coupe, SUV, and compact for eco-concious kids. Every component in the Automoblox system is interchangeable: wheels, tires, roofs and wooden bodies, so the possibilities are endless. A great toy!

SO cool- SO practical!

We love these, the whole family that is... Sleek lines, aesthetically pleasant to look at, and way fun for my 20 month old boy! We already got another one. Great for motor skills, and "togetherness" play- we can put it back together--- well, TOGETHER!

Great quality, fun toy for my boys

My boys got this as a Christmas gift and it is by far their favorite toy. The car comes apart but can easily be put back together by little hands. I saw a review that they were made in China and I saw on the bottom of the toy that they were assembled in China (not sure what that means). It is worth checking with the manufacturer to see if they are indeed made in China or the US, if that's an important consideration. I have to tell you these are very well made (heirloom quality) so that to me justifies the price.

3 Year Old Nephew Loves It

Bought three automoblox (red car, blue car, green pickup) for my three year old nephew for Christmas. As soon as he opened them and discovered he could take the cars apart, he was entranced with them, leaving the rest of his new toys behind. He played with them for hours, taking them apart, putting them back together, rearranging the pieces, and them racing them in various configurations. I think he fell in love when he saw he could even take the wheels off and put them back on!
I am blown away by the outstanding design and quality of these cars! They feel so solid, and it is so easy to take them apart and put them back together! It was all perfectly manageable for a 3 year old's motor skills. And he was just thrilled with understanding there were colors and shapes to match when putting the parts together. It is truly amazing how well they function...they roll easily and he had as much fun zooming them around as he did taking them apart and putting them together. They fit just great into a child's hands. When zooming them around, occasionally a part would fall off...but it never upset him because he was so thrilled to be able to "fix" them himself. (The first thing his mom said when seeing the presents was "please tell me this isn't something else we have to put together" - she was delighted too when she found it he could do it all by himself!!)
Really truly, these are awesome toys! I rarely write reviews, but felt obligated to share because this product is that good...made me a hero!
