Screen Free Family Fun

If I hadn't seen someone else playing with the Swinxs, I would never have known about this toy. You really have to see/experience it. I checked out youtube there are a couple of videos on there, really funny one from a UK website called Shiny Shiny where a bunch of adults test drive it - worth watching.
But my experience in a nutshell:
* Lightweight, portable and waterproof - we have taken it to pool parties, on airplanes and on holidays
* Screen free! Think laughing, screaming kids running around like kids should, playing the kinda games we grew up on...freeze tag, hide n' seek
* Cool wrist bands with microchips that allow each child to communicate with the Swinxs, sorta like an electronic referee. The kids love 'em
* No hidden costs. You buy it - and granted it is an investment toy - but then no elbow pulling for a new $60 game you just download new fun off the swinxs website for free
* Three buttons....it is idiot proof
* Sweet spot kids 5-9, they have to be able to listen to instruction to maximize the fun. That said my middle one who is four and my youngest who is not even two still wears a wrist band and joins in, even though they don't really know what they are doing.
An investment for sure, but this device (I don't really know what else to call it) grows with your kids because the games do

Swinx is the cure to boredom

I recently received a Swinx to use at my local children's hospital and the children there absolutely love it! When I first opened the box in the playroom, the children went crazy with it. The swinx given to us already had a bunch of games downloaded onto it (the games are free on the site which makes this console so affordable) which the children thouroughly enjoyed. The great thing about the swinx is that it can be played by children with all different interests and energy levels. There are quiet games, which came in handy when a child wasn't feeling that great at the hospital. There are also active games which helped the children use up some of their pent up energy from being confined to the hospital. What I especially loved was how the swinx kept score in the games which kept the children from argueing which happens quite often when dealing with children in crisis. Overall, I think this is a great addition to any children's hospital or even at home! Its wonderful!

Great Fun!

My kids absolutely love the Swinxs. It is by far my 2 1/2 year olds favorite toy. He loves the dash, hide and seek, and jukebox the most out of all the games so far. This game is great for bringing families together for fun! My husband and I join in on the fun as well as our 14 and 17 year old daughters. It comes with 4 wristbands and comes with 10 preloaded games. It is an investment but one of the best parts is that you don't have to go out and buy games for it all the time. You can simply go to their site and download more games. I also love the fact that it is rechargeable so that there is no need to purchase batteries.
